Today is Nelson's birthday! He is turing 16! I wish I could have given him a hug and kiss this morning. I miss him so much! I miss Arthur and Owen too and Philip! I'm hoping we can hear from them soon, I wish I could write back. But when they get home imma show them all these entries I made so they could see how much I love them and I counted down them days. Pappa got to feelin better, he is outta bed and movin around. Not able to do much labor but he can do some stuff, Momma said he needs to nursed back to health completely before he does anything else. Today I didnt feel like doin anythin, but Alice took me out to the cow stables and taught me how we get our milk! I thought it was pretty fascinating! I drank some right when it was put into the pail, OH BOY that good!
It was made an announcement that residents of the western counties of Virginia did not wish to continue to be part of Virginia. Now we have a new state! Its name is West Virginia....how original! Thats cool that we have another state! Hopefully a letter will come soon from the boys, Owen's birth is comin up too! His is July 5th! he'll be 15! woohoo! I miss them dearly!
