Day 40: The Union January 31, 1862

Poppa said that things are rumbling in the north and the south, things are gonna break out where we dont want them to! This whole madness is going to get out of hand, and I thought Battle of Bull Run was enough, I thought we would learn our lessons and settle things differently. We cant afford to go to war, but this what it has come down to. Poppa said that President Lincoln issued a war order authorizing the Union to launch a unified aggressive action against the Confederacy, But General McClellan ignored the order. Maybe thats a good thing, cuz that could have been turned into a battle....right? If General listened to that command. Hopefully things will turn out all right, we can only hope for the best.
