I woke up this mornin to find Mrs. Jackson outside of the house planting and I went over to offer some of my handy help. I nothin better to do, she appreciates the help because of her age its hard for her to get on the ground. I learned somethin new today, Eric came out of the house and climbed this huge tree! He taught me how to climb a tree, Momma wasnt happy bout me learnin how cuz it aint lady like. But I liked the feel of it, feeling all tall and up off the ground. It was my escape place and I loved it. Eric is a pretty cool kid, he knows a lot bout animals and nature everyday is a new adventure. I introduced Eric and Rose to AnnaMae, and now we all hang out when we get a chance. I think this has kindled a new friendship! I really need this, I love my brothers a lot but my new friends can keep my mind off of them for a bit...that wont hurt anythin! right?
Eric was tellin me about the morning when they came to take Tyler, he described it as a nightmare! It was night time and they came knockin on the door and asked for anyone through the ages of 14-19 to come with them. They told his Ma that they may never see him again, and to say their good byes. I asked him if Tyler ever wrote letters? and he said no, he never really liked writing so he chose not worry about that subject. Poor Jackson's dont even know whats going on with their own son, I dont know how they do it. Hearing from my brothers makes my day so much better. This war needs to take a turn for the better, I pray everyday that my brothers will turn home safely.
