Day 37: A New Year, A New Start January 2, 1862

My brothers were recruited back, I cant believe a month went by and I miss them so much already. The journey begins again, and I hope I can survive like last time. Nothin has really been picking up with the battles and wars, but I have a feelin that if they had to recruit the boys back. Somethin is bound to happen and it wont be good. Back to the quiet life, and its super boring because all of this snow, its been pilin up and ive had to stay inside. Rose and Eric may come over to play. A new year has started, 1862! Things need to be changed, there are so many things and its going to be coming up soon that we need to plow the fields to get ready to replant tobacco. Bring in the money now. Its gonna be hard with out slaves but I think we will be able to make it, Poppa said I can take off school to help out because of how low we are on slaves. Yet, my days just wonder in my head, I love the new journal the boys gave me. Ive been writing in it since they have left and its going to start my new year. I hope to get a letter sometime soon.
